We demand that the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE should continue its Latin language news. For over 28 years a small group of dedicated Finnish Latinists has produced a news program which is a testament to the vitality and flexibility of Latin. It is a unique phenomenon that unites language enthusiasts – from experts to amateurs – throughout the world.The program fosters interest in Latin and the history of Western civilisation. It is an invaluable teaching tool used in schools and universities around the world.
