The new issue of Journal of Eastern Mediterranean Archaeology and Heritage Studies(Volume 1, Issue 4), edited by Ann E. Killebrew and Sandra A. Scham,  has just appeared from Penn State University Press.

This issue’s special Forum section is devoted to the impact of armed conflict and revolution on archaeology in Libya, Egypt and Syria: “Inactive, Reactive, or Pro-active? Cultural Property Crimes in the Context of Contemporary Armed Conflicts” by Joris D. Kila with responses from Emma Cunliffe, Salam Al Quntar, Cheikhmous Ali, Salima Ikram, and Monica Hanna.

JEMAHS is a peer-reviewed journal devoted to traditional, anthropological, social, and applied archaeologies of the Eastern Mediterranean, encompassing both prehistoric and historic periods.
